Hello,

First off, would like to say these are the slow moving and fluid plans set out by Stacy ...

To confirm the far wall would be the highlighted area in PAS 1098 for 8 tables?

Response: YES, except wall in corner (rights side of door) adjacent to PAS 1098A

Are the highlighted areas in 1099 would contain tables with the printer moved to the red P location approximately.

      Response: YES

For dual network outlets would one be used for the hub monitor and one available for users? Would the power be to the top of the desk?

Response: Depends on how many network jacks are available on the respective walls.

Do we have any idea how often the hub monitors in PAS 1098 are used?

Response: Stacy's input was they continue to see these monitors used. Kathryn asked for four.

For 1099 we could swap out 2 of the 4 machines with hub monitors and see if either see any use with pass throughs for observation of use.

Response: YES, we can remove and await feedback.

In PAS 1237 we are regularly plugging computers or monitors back in to power so the power idea is a good one.

Is there a plan for what to do with PAS 1080 once SAF moves their Bloomberg machines out?

Response: NO plan as of now, again depends when SAF has another room and space committee review.

Stacy indicated this is a work in progress. Sometime later (again this is slow moving) she hopes to update all departments of the new configurations. She indicated the initial setup will be reviewed and guided by input from various sources. Hopefully ACO can provide login data to supplement feedback from students and departments. We can support this and suggest pathways, but this is not an ACO initiative. We are here to support in hopefully a partnership role.

Thanks for the room layouts !!!

Sincerely, Bill

Hello,

I've chatted with Stacy and room 1098 will have the far wall with eight (8) tables (with the curved front) that include the power and additional 2 Ethernet ports. Each table will have a hub-monitor as suggested by Stacy, Kathryn and data.

The remainder of the room will consist of comfy furniture with the two round tables remaining. There is a consideration for a display monitor on the wall adjacent to PAS 1098A ...

PAS 1099 however could have another look. The walls adjacent to PAS 1080 & PAS 1098A respectively would have tables with hub monitors. HOWEVER, my question is should they be similar to the tables used in PAS 1098 (tables with power & two ethernet jacks with curved fronts) with hub-monitors instead of rectangle table without power and ethernet jacks. Stacy has suggested the printer be shifted to the wall adjacent to our server room and not have tables/chairs on that wall to minimize impact on egress ...

Hopefully you can provide some of your insights by end of Wednesday, March 13th 2024

Thanks in advance, Bill
