Hopefully we can keep track of this request.

I can update the JIRA ticket, but not sure which co-op I should set participate or own ticket.

Pleas advise ...

Good morning,

We have set aside a Windows 11 desktop for your office. This is to replace with following:

Dell Optiplex 7020 SFF with 16GB RAM & 512 GB SSD

Of course will provide monitor, keyboard/mouse, and probabaly a video camera.

Make sense?

This way we can replace the Mac PC that is having security issues with a new 2025 device.

I've added Jameson to the email so he can have the co-ops setup your desktop.

Cheers, Bill

Good morning,

We are leaning towards funding your computer needs.

So, you are considering a Windows desktop? Would you need monitor, keyboard, and mouse? We do have laptops with hub-monitors as well (which give you full access to the Ethernet and thus high apples Internet (like a desktop).

We can discuss further in the near future.

Sincerely, Bill

Hello!

I deeply apologize for the delayed response. Our exec team and I were discussing our preferences, and it took a bit of time.

As of right now, we're not 100% set on it, however, we are currently leaning towards a Windows Desktop PC.

Also, to clarify, would the ACO and your supervisor (an Associate Dean) be supporting us in terms of our funding for our computer needs? Or will you be supporting us by just guiding and helping us along the way?

Thank you for your time and understanding!

Warm regards,

Hello,

I was talking with my supervisor (an Associate Dean) and we are thinking it may be beneficial to help support your computer needs.

This may help keep your ASU funds for students.

So, with this in mind, do you have a preference (Apple or Windows), and platform (desktop or laptop)?

All the best, Bill

Note: you may receive my "I'm on vacation: but do keep an eye out for important emails.

Description:

Hello,

I hope this email finds you well. I’m reaching out regarding the ASU Mac PC in the Tuck Shop (AL120). I wanted to inform you that the current ASU executive team is considering purchasing a new PC for the Tuck Shop. The existing Mac is quite outdated and unable to update to the latest macOS version, which has led to issues, most recently, a potential security vulnerability.

We wanted to keep you informed about this potential change and explain our reasoning behind it. Please let us know if there are any concerns or if there are any further steps we should take on your end.

Warm regards,
