Anthropology Research Opportunity
 
 
Professors Abler and Stern are looking for 1-3 students to work as 
research assistants during the Winter and perhaps subsequent terms. The 
project involves researching the ways that several specific groups of 
people such as the Trobrianders or the Yanomami are presented in 
introductory anthropology teaching and textbooks.
 
The ideal candidate:

    * is in 3^rd year or very advanced 2^nd year of a 4 year Honours Degree
    * has completed Anth 352 (History of Anthropological Thought)
    * enjoys reading ethnography
    * writes well and has some library reference skills
    * is analytical
    * is well organized
    * is thinking about graduate school

 
Research Assistants will have the option of writing honour theses based 
on this project.
 
Pay: $10/hr for approx. 10 hours a week

describing your academic interests and previous work experience. Please 
append a list of courses taken in anthropology.
