Hello
On behalf of the Department of Anthropology at the University of New
Brunswick and the College of Extended Learning, we are proud to announce
an exciting travel study program to Merida, Mexico offered May 1 to May
24, 2007. This Anthropology Field School takes place in Merida, which is
the largest city of the Yucatan. The program includes 9 credit hours
for 3 courses with no prerequisites. There are several field trips
planned to ancient Mayan sites, including the breathtaking Palenque, an
imperial city where the dynasties of kings have been recorded. The
courses are taught by Dr. Christiane Paponnet-Cantat and Jorge Rosado
and the maximum acceptance rate is 24 students.
I have included an e-postcard in hopes that you will circulate this to
students in your departments. If you would like brochures to put on
display or for more information visit us at_
http://www.cel.unb.ca/travelstudy_ . Please feel free to contact me with
any further questions. Registration forms are available online!
Thank you,
Bobbie-Jo Hickey, Program Assistant
College of Extended Learning
