Hi everyone,

We hope your exams are going well and if you have finished already,
congratulations! The Anthropology Society hopes you all the best for the
next four months, and whether it be relaxing, working, or studying this
Spring Term, we hope you all have a good time!

There are two things on our agenda right now where we would greatly
value your input. First of all, the Anthropology Society is always
looking for more executive members and would love for those of you who
are interested to contact us! A few of our executive members have
graduated this past term (we offer our congratulations to them!), and we
are looking for people to fill their spots starting in Fall 2009. To be
an exec member, no previous experience is needed and all we are looking
for is enthusiasm! As an exec member, you will be involved with planning
and organizing events, helping us advertise these events, and
encouraging student interest. Please feel free to contact Erin at
estieler at uwaterloo.ca <mailto:estieler at uwaterloo.ca> to let us know that
you’re interested in joining our team.

Secondly, the Anthropology Department is interested to find out what
motivated you to major in anthropology (for those of you who have
decided to major in anthropology). What attracted you to this
discipline? What do you like about studying it? Why did you decide to
major in it? Which anthropology courses have you taken that you enjoyed?
Also, the Anthropology Department is looking for feedback on what you
currently think of the Anthropology Program at UW, and how you think our
Department can continue being successful. Your responses to any or all
of these questions would be greatly appreciated and you can submit them
anonymously to Erin at estieler at uwaterloo.ca
<mailto:estieler at uwaterloo.ca>. Your answers will only be used for
departmental interests.

Once again, thanks for your interest and we hope you all have a good
“summer”!

Regards,

AnthSoc
