Hey everyone,

Hope your winter term so far is going smoothly. We just have a few
announcements to make regarding an upcoming event, a summer training
course that's available, and some information about the Canadian
Association of Physical Anthropology.

First of all, AnthSoc would like to officially welcome Dr. Barrickman
and honour Dr. Zeller's retirement by hosting a casual get-together
next week. The event will be held on Tuesday, February 9th from
4:30-7:00 at the Bomber. There will be free appetizers and
non-alcoholic beverages for you to enjoy, and you will get to meet and
mingle with your fellow anthropology students and professors.  This
will be a good opportunity to meet our newest member to the department
and wish our wonderful physical anthropology professor a happy
retirement!  Hope you see you there!

Also, there is a summer training course that is available to students
who are interested in physical anthropology and immunology.  The
course takes place in China and the course expenses are paid.  Please
see additional information on the attachment.

In addition, the Canadian Association of Physical Anthropology (CAPA)
would like to invite interested students to become a member of their
association. More information is on the attachment.
