[Anthsoc] Welcome back!

[Anthropology Society]

Hey everyone,

We hope your holiday break went well and that you're all geared up to start
the winter term! The Anthropology Society has two announcements to start off
this semester:

1.  AnthSoc would like to officially welcome Dr. Nancy Barrickman to the
Anthropology Department, who will be teaching physical anthropology courses.
We wish her a wonderful time here at UW, and we look forward to taking
courses with her in the future!

2.  For any students who may be interested in gaining research experience in
anthropology, the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History is offering
opportunities for paid undergraduate research internships. More information
can be found at http://www.mnh.si.edu/NHRE/, and please be advised that the
application deadline is February 8th. Applications from international
students are also accepted.
Our AnthSoc executives are currently brainstorming some interesting and fun
events to host this term, so stay tuned for updates in the upcoming weeks!
In addition, we are always looking for new students on our exec. team, so if
anyone is interested please feel free to email us at uwanthsoc at gmail.com.
