Hey everyone,
We have a few announcements to make.
First, we wanted to let everyone know that we are still looking for
people who are interested in joining our executive team. Positions
such as Social Coordinator and Media Coordinator need to be filled, as
well as some auxiliary positions for those who have a busy schedule
and only want a limited commitment. We are totally open to anyone
who's interested, whether you're a first year student or grad student,
Anthropology major or not! Email us at uwanthsoc at gmail.com or come out
to our next exec meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, March 16th at
4:30 in the Anth Lounge (PAS 2007, down the hall from the Anthropology
Department, on the 2nd floor of the Psychology, Anthropology,
Sociology building). If you cannot make it and are interested in
attending, please let us know! We will try to accomodate anyone who is
interested in joining our team. More executive members = more events
for all of you to enjoy!
Secondly, Student-of-the-term and Professor-of-the-term nominations
are open! If you know an awesome student or professor who deserves
some recognition, nominate them at
http://www.asu.uwaterloo.ca/studentnomination (for students) or
http://www.asu.uwaterloo.ca/professornomination (for professors). Do
not hesitate to nominate someone that you feel has made an excellent
contribution to student life, your department, your faculty, or
anything else at UW!
Thirdly, the ASU would like to inform everyone about a few events
going on this month that may interest some of you. More information
can be found below.
Thanks, and we hope to see some new faces on Tuesday!
