All faculty, staff and students are cordially invited to attend the
first Jewish Studies talk of the 2007/2008 academic year.
Dr. Kenneth Seeskin, Chair of Philosophy at Northwestern University,
will be speaking about Messianism in an Age of Despair:
"If there is a beginning of time, must there be an end? What would the
end of time be like? What problems would it solve? What can we do to
bring it about? This lecture will explore the theme of Messianism from a
Jewish and Christian perspective."
The talk will be held at St. Jerome's Siegfried Hall, Room 1030 at 7:30
pm on Tuesday 9 October.
Admission is free and there will be a reception after the talk.
