Public reading by George Elliott Clarke

Dear colleagues,

On Wednesday March 12th African-Canadian poet, librettist, novelist,  
scholar--as well as UW alumnus and honorary degree recipient--George  
Elliott Clarke will give a reading of his recent work. Please see the  
attached poster for more information.

Clarke is E.J Pratt Professor of Canadian literature at The  
University of Toronto, a recipient of numerous awards and prizes,  
including a Trudeau Foundation Fellowship, and a frequent commentator  
on Canadian literature and culture in popular media. His performances  
of his creative work are brilliant.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
