Jewish Studies lecture

All faculty, staff and students are cordially invited to attend a lecture by
Dr. Stephen Berk on Monday 22 September at 7:30 pm in Siegfried Hall, St.
Jerome's.

 

The lecture is "Truman, Israel and the 1948 Election": "The 1948
Presidential Election marked the greatest upset in American political
history. Civil rights, fear of Communism and Truman's support of the State
of Israel all played a role in this decisive election which shaped the
course of American history for decades to come". 

 

Admission is free and there will be a reception after the talk.
