The Department of English Language and Literature and the Medieval  
Studies Program at St. Jerome's University are pleased to present the  
third speaker in our speaker series, "Emotion and Text":

Sarah McNamer
"Medieval Literature and the History of Emotion"

Sarah McNamer is Associate Professor of English and Medieval Studies  
at Georgetown University. Her current research is on the relationship  
between late medieval vernacular literature and the history of  
emotion. She is the author of Affective Meditation and the Invention  
of Medieval Compassion (University of Pennsylvania, 2009).
