Slot Machines: Are They Addictive?

 

Join us, Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Stratford Public
Library (located at 19 St. Andrew St., Stratford, ON) for a public lecture
presented by the Waterloo Stratford Institute and Stratford Public Library.
This talk, by Kevin Harrigan PhD, lead researcher in the University of
Waterloo's problem gambling research team, addresses the questions: Who are
the problem gamblers? What are the characteristics of the machines that make
them so addictive? What can we do to reduce the machines addictiveness?
