Dear colleagues,
In December, KW Youth Theatre (http://www.kwyouththeatre.com/index.php) will
present its production of Shakespeare's *Coriolanus (*
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coriolanus), directed by Trevor Copp.
Here's the synopsis:
Forced into the Senate by his over-bearing mother, the Achilles-like
Coriolanus
does nothing to hide his disdain for democracy. Eventually banished by his
own people,
this God of War does the only thing he knows how to do: lead his own enemy's
army to
kill the very people he serves. Shakespeare's tale of extreme betrayal is
also one of his
bloodiest. It is a grand-scale story of militaristic pride, maternal
influence, and knowing
who's got your back.
Performances will be held:
Dec 8-11 at 8 pm, and Dec 11-12 at 2pm
at the Conrad Centre for Performing Arts
36 King Street West, Kitchener
Tickets are $18 adults, $10 students
Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing tickets. Thanks in
advance for supporting local youth theatre.
Best,
Shannon Dea
