The Department of English Language and Literature is pleased to announce a talk by Dr. Elaine Showalter (Professor emerita, Princeton University) on "Writing the History of American Women Writers."

Date: Wednesday, October 6th

Place: Hagey Hall 1101 (the Chartered Accountants' Lecture Theatre)

Dr. Showalter is the author of /Hystories: Hysterical Epidemics and Modern Media/ (1997), /Inventing Herself: Claiming a Feminist Intellectual Heritage/ (2001), and /Teaching Literature/ (2003) among many other works.
