History Speaker Series

Dear Colleagues:

 

The Department of History is pleased to announce its first speaker in this
year's speaker series. Dr. Benjamin Isitt, an assistant professor of History
at UBC, will be discussing his latest book From Victoria to Vladivostok:
Canada's Siberian Expedition, 1917-19 (UBC Press, 2010), which details the
exploits of the 4,200 Canadians who travelled to Russia at the end of World
War I to partake in the undeclared war against the Bolsheviks.
