Documenting graduate supervision is an important–but sometimes tricky–part
of our annual performance review process.

At this workshop we invite faculty members to join Learning Community
members and a representative from the Working Group on Faculty Annual
Performance Evaluation to discuss the following topics:

· How does graduate supervision count in different departments? Is
it part of the assessment of teaching or of research? How should it count?

· How should graduate supervision be evaluated. Do those methods
differ based on whether it counts as teaching or research?

· How can you document your graduate supervision for the performance
appraisal process?

This is a workshop, not a panel, so come prepared to ask questions, share
your knowledge, and learn from each other.
