Arts Student Union presents Romeo Dallaire

The Arts Student Union is honoured and proud to present our 2011  
keynote speaker, Lieutenant General The Honourable Romeo Dallaire.

Lt. Gen Dallaire was the Commanding Officer of UNAMIR during the  
Rwandan Genocide, saving thousands of innocent lives while crying in  
vain for international intervention in the growing catastrophe. His  
harrowing experience in that remote land was documented in vivid  
detail in Shake Hands With the Devil, winner of the Governor General's  
Award for Non-Fiction. Recently, Lt. Gen Dallaire has been appointed  
to the Senate of Canada and published his latest work: They Fight Like  
Soldiers, They Die Like Children.
