BACH'S SACRED VOCAL MUSIC

Winter 2011

Course Description: Bach wrote church music throughout his career, in various forms: cantatas, motets, passions, masses. In this course we will survey Bach's sacred music for voices and instruments, and study representative cantatas in detail, as well as the B-minor Mass and the St Matthew Passion.
