Joint Council on International Children’s Services is now accepting proposals for presentations for the 37th Annual Child Welfare Symposium to be held in New York, NY from May 20 – 22, 2013! For over 30 years, Joint Council's Annual Child Welfare Symposium has provided child welfare experts, academics, and practitioners a forum to share ideas, discuss policy, and learn about new or improved services being provided to children and families in need. In 2013, for the first time, in addition to the highly regarded Medical and Nutritional Institute and the Intercountry Adoption and Orphan Care Curriculum, Joint Council will host four two-hour sessions focusing on the specific needs of children living outside of family care in four countries - China, India, Haiti, and Ethiopia.
