Apologies for cross-posting.

Please check out the new issue of the Canadian Journal of Disability Studies:

http://cjds.uwaterloo.ca/

This is a free, open-access journal devoted to cutting edge research in
the field, from Canada and around the world. The journal is supported by
the Canadian Disability Studies Association and the University of
Waterloo.

The current issue has the theme of "Disability Mediations" -- how
disability is represented from within and without, through and across the
media.

The issue includes excellent articles by Nicole Markotic, interrogating
disability representation in documentary film; Cameron Greensmith,
investigating constructions of disability and indigeneity; Beth Haller,
Marcia Rioux and the Disability Rights Promotion International studying
Canadian news media; and Chelsea Jones reviewing the relationship between
journalism and disability studies. We also have a remarkable personal
narrative by Andrew Bloomfield; reviews by Rebecca Janzen and Tanya
Titchkosky; and creative work by John Williamson.

Please have a look at this outstanding collection of articles, consider
contributing your work to the journal in the future (we are always
accepting submissions), and spread the word!
