Writers, musicians, painters, video artists, clothing designers, filmmakers, poets, composers, illustrators, photographers, playwrights, quilters, graphic designers, choreographers, directors, curators, producers, songwriters, print makers, performers, mentors, festivals, volunteers, youth 25 years of age and under ... the list is endless!

General Criteria (for more information, see nomination form)

  *   Artistic Excellence
  *   Sustained development over a minimum of 3 years in Waterloo Region (except New Festival or Event Category)
  *   Impact on the Waterloo Region Community (includes volunteer arts involvement)

** Nominators and Endorsers cannot be self or a family member (see nomination form)
** Nominators and Endorsers for an organization cannot be board or staff (see nomination form)

Arts Awards Waterloo Region<http://www.artsawardswaterlooregion.ca/> will celebrate the 26th year of artistic achievement in 13 categories at the Annual Arts Awards gala. It began in 1988, and is now recognized as a benchmark event for the arts.

The Gala Celebration takes place on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Centre In The Square, Kitchener. It is an evening of fun, celebration, awards, on-stage performances and gourmet food tastings in the lobby. It's an evening to celebrate the arts in our community - and those creative, talented people who bring it to us.
