Please join us for this year's Tri-University History Conference. The conference provides an opportunity for students and faculty to share exciting new insights into the past. This year's theme is Histories and Communities, and in celebration of the conference's 20th anniversary, we have some special events lined up for the day, including live Reggae music!

Our keynote panel explores this relationship between community and history and includes alumni from the University of Waterloo, Laurier University, and the University of Guelph:


*         Stephanie Bangarth, "'Ann Nisei' and 'Sue Sada': Negotiating Race, Gender, and Family in the Nikkei Press of Canada and the United States."

*         Allan Downey, "The Medicine Game: Re-empowering Aboriginal Communities through Sport."

*         Jason Wilson and special musical guests, "Rebel Music: The Evolution of Toronto's Transnational Reggae Music Scene."
