Dear All,
You are cordially invited to the second instalment of our Fine Arts Lecture Series – artist and alumni Catherine Telford-Keogh.

Date: Wednesday October 14th
Time: 11:00 am - 12 pm
Place: ECH 1219

Catherine Telford-Keogh’s work explores the erotics of objects, form and material gone haywire. In her recent sculptures, yellow-tinged glass tabletops are interactive surfaces for object constellations with fatty skirts stuffed with food and things that look like food. Swedish Berries and olives presented in small bowls look bulbous and delicious, while pickle juice mixed with scented beads and dish soap recalls the color and consistency of bile. Underneath the glass, repetitive structures created by various food trays participate in the geometric systems established in the kitchen and tease out ideas of function and display.

After graduating from Fine Arts at Waterloo, Telford-Keogh completed two graduate degrees at Yale – one in Fine Arts and one in Women Gender and Sexuality Studies. Fine Arts looks forward to catching up with this recent alum!
