Studies in Islam is co-sponsoring two lectures with the Noor Cultural Centre and we would like to invite you to attend!  Professor Mahmoud Ayoub will speak on the following topics:

Religious Extremism in Muslim History
Also featuring: Professor Mohammad Fadel (Faculty of Law, University of Toronto)

Professor Mahmoud Ayoub (PhD) is Professor Emeritus at Temple University, and Professor of Islamic Studies & Christian-Muslim Relations at Hartford Seminary in Connecticut. He is the author of numerous books, including Redemptive Suffering in Islam and The Qur'an and Its Interpreters (vol. 1 & 2). Throughout his academic career, Mahmoud Ayoub has received distinguished awards and scholarships, and is an internationally-recognized authority in comparative study of Islam and Muslim-Christian relations and inter-religious dialogue.
