Dear Arts Colleagues--
Just a quick reminder that the Department of English Language and Literature will be hosting a unique showcase of imagination, creativity, and projects for high-technology sectors featuring the work of students and the insights of alumni.
Date: Thursday, June 2, 2016
Time: 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm (programme begins at 6 pm)
Location: The Tannery Event Centre, 151 Charles Street, Kitchener
Cost: $20 per person or $160 for a table of eight

(NB this event is not a fundraiser; the ticket cost is to cover food and drink costs only.)  Student displays will showcase their work on the technological frontiers of gaming, smart cities, creative media, and user documentation. Meet the students and see such projects as:
* Places, Please!: Capturing Theatricality at the Stratford Festival in Video Games
* Every City is a Smart City: Civic Data and Smart Citizens
* Everybody's Everybody's Autobiography: Radio, Gertrude Stein, and the Modernist Soundscape

* Gendered or Neutral? Considering the Language of HCI (Human Computer Interaction)
* The Female Voice: .NET and .NET Core Documentation in Light of Gender
