Convocation lecture: Roberta Jamieson on Education & Reconciliation - June 12

UWaterloo’s Community Relations, Waterloo Aboriginal Education Centre, and the Faculty of Arts present a special convocation lecture by Roberta L. Jamieson, known as one of Canada’s important visionaries and leaders, in which she will addresses education and reconciliation, the path to Canada’s future<https://uwaterloo.ca/arts/events/education-reconciliation-path-canadas-future>.

Ms. Jamieson, a Canadian lawyer and First Nations activist, is president and CEO of Indspire, Canada’s premiere Indigenous-led charity. She was the first Indigenous woman to earn a law degree in Canada, the first non-Parliamentarian to be appointed an ex officio member of a House of Commons Committee and the first woman appointed as Ontario Ombudsman.
