A century after the Russian Revolution, PhD candidate Yelena Abdullayeva will explore the current nation-building processes in Russian society, under Vladimir Putin, where the role of the revolution is less glorified than the Soviet Victory over Nazi Germany.

This talk is part of the History as it Happens series: coffee is provided, and please feel free to bring along your lunch!
