Call for papers: 46th Annual Conference of the Linguistic Association of Canada and the United States "Contacts and Interactions"

Dear Colleagues,

The 46th Annual Conference of the Linguistic Association of Canada and the United States (LACUS) "CONTACTS AND INTERACTIONS" will take place on July 23-26, 2019 at the University of Waterloo.

LACUS invites abstracts representing a broad range of approaches to language, including interdisciplinary topics and innovative ideas. Submissions dealing with any of the conference theme (see below) as well as abstracts presenting empirically grounded investigations in any theoretical framework are welcome.

  *   Cognitive and neurolinguistic approaches to language
  *   Computational and corpus approaches to language
  *   Human (or Hard-science) linguistics
  *   Language in the media
  *   Forensic and clinical linguistics
  *   Multilingualism and genre
  *   Teaching second and foreign languages
  *   Stratificational modeling of language
  *   Systemic-functional approaches to language
  *   Issues in graphology, phonology, grammar, lexis, discourse, modality, ontology, diachronic linguistics, geolinguistics, sociolinguistics, etc.
Important Dates:

  *   15 FEB 2019:  Abstract submission deadline
  *   15 MAR 2019: Notification of acceptance / rejection
