Please join us this evening at Conrad Grebel University College for a public event on "Peace and Security in Northern Nigeria<https://uwaterloo.ca/centre-peace-advancement/events/peace-and-security-northern-nigeria>" at 7 PM in the Great Hall (first floor).
What impact has Boko Haram had on the prospects for agricultural development?  What are the other cultural and economic drivers of conflict that need to be addressed?  How are women and youth becoming agents of change?

Keynote speaker Chom Bagu, the Nigeria Field Project Manager from Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA), and others with insights into peace work in Northern Nigeria, will speak to these questions.  Discussion will be facilitated by Assistant Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Waterloo, Reina Neufeldt.
