Dear friends and members of the Waterloo Centre for German Studies,

This is a reminder that our Grimm Lecture 2020 "Thinking Itself Is Dangerous: Reading Hannah Arendt Now" by Professor Samantha Rose Hill will be presented tonight via livestream.

Here are the details:

When: Thursday, 19 March 2020, 7pm EDT (i.e. Toronto time)
To watch via Facebook, go to: https://www.facebook.com/WaterlooCentreForGermanStudies/
To watch via Youtube, go to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqVmqIBx5A0 (this link was updated on March 18)

Dr. Hill's lecture will be followed by a question-and-answer segment. You will be able to post questions during the talk, which we will then put to Dr. Hill live.

If you'd like to learn more about the lecture and Dr. Hill, or avail yourself of some readings and other media on Arendt, please visit the lecture website: https://uwaterloo.ca/centre-for-german-studies/events/grimm-lecture-2020.

We will also be posting a copy of the recording on the University of Waterloo's YouTube channel; information about that will be distributed once it is online.

If you have any questions, please contact us at wcgs at uwaterloo.ca<mailto:wcgs at uwaterloo.ca>.

We hope you'll be able to join us from wherever you are. In the meantime, best wishes to you all in these strange and trying times.

Sincerely,
Misty Matthews-Roper, Administrative Assistant
James Skidmore, Director
Waterloo Centre for German Studies

P.s. Please pass this message along to anyone you think might be interested (e.g. students, friends, etc). Thanks!
