Today: Vigil in support of Waterloo Iranian community

Together with the Graduate Students Association, the Iranian Student Association of Waterloo and Waterloo’s faculties, the Faculty of Engineering and Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA) are hosting a campus vigil today, October 5, to show our solidarity and demonstrate support for our Iranian community.

  *   Date: today, Wednesday, October 5
  *   Time: 5:00 pm – 5:45 pm*
  *   Location: The steps of the Dana Porter Library
  *   No RSVP required.

*The vigil gathering will begin at 4:45 pm to support candle distribution; programming will begin at 5:00 pm.

Programming will include remarks by Jeff Casello, Associate Vice-President, Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs, Siva Sivoththaman, Associate Dean, Graduate Studies, Faculty of Engineering, other senior representatives from the faculties, Sorour Yekeh, University of Waterloo student representing the Iranian Student Association of Waterloo.
