Hello,
Every two years the orchestra at uwaterloo holds a Concerto and Aria Competition that is open to all students and recent graduates. Judged by a panel of professional musicians, the winner performs as a soloist with the orchestra. The winner of the 2023 competition is Catherine He, a pianist who is studying Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. She will be performing Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in E Minor. The judges described her performance as an absolutely flawless and poignant. The second piece of the concert is Schumann’s Symphony No. 3 in E Flat major, also known as the Rhenish.
Admission is free, tickets are available at the door. Please come on time in order to get a seat.
