[Spanish and Latin American Studies]

Good afternoon, all,

Please join us for the third film of the 2024 Afro Latin American Film Festival<https://uwaterloo.ca/spanish/afro-latin-american-film-festival>, held in collaboration between the Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies, the Black Studies program, Kitchener Public Library, the PRAGDA Film Club, and with the support of The Black Faculty Collective.

Our third film, Bad Hair/Pelo Malo (Mariana Rondón / Venezuela / 2013 / 93 min) will be screened in-person at the Kitchener Public Library theatre (KPL Central Branch, 85 Queen Street North) this Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 6:30pm. There is no charge for this event, but registration is required. Professor Mario Boido will provide a brief introduction to the film and lead a post-screening discussion with the audience. Light refreshments will be offered.
