Thanks to the Department of Classical Studies, we will be presenting Joe Goodkin in concert on Wednesday. Goodkin retells the story of the Trojan War in a set of seventeen songs, each sung from the point of view of one of Homer’s characters in the Iliad. The lyrics are specific to the Iliad, but also talk about pain, grief, loss, and hope in a way that seems very timely given the current international news. See https://uwaterloo.ca/music/events/noon-hour-concert-blues-achilles Goodkin’s albums will also be available for sale after the concert.
