Please join us for the last film of the 2024 Afro Latin American Film Festival<https://uwaterloo.ca/spanish/afro-latin-american-film-festival>, held in collaboration between the Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies, the Black Studies program, Kitchener Public Library, the PRAGDA Film Club, and with the support of The Black Faculty Collective.


Panama Canal Stories/Historias del Canal (Abner Benaim, Carolina Borrero, Luis Franco Brantley, Pinky Mon, Pituka Ortega-Heilbron / Panama / 2014 / 106 min), will be screened in-person at the Kitchener Public Library theatre. There is no charge for this event, but registration is required. Professor Mario Boido will provide a brief introduction to the film and lead a post-screening discussion with the audience. Light refreshments will be offered.
