This is a reminder to join the Indigenous Speakers Series this Wednesday, October 9, when we are honoured to present Jordan Jamieson, artist singer-songwriter, Anishinaabe knowledge keeper, and archaeological researcher.
Jordan Jamieson, also known as MR. SAUGA, showcases his identity and activist work by infusing Indigenous culture and storytelling into his lyrics, themes, and rhythms. As an Anishinaabe knowledge keeper, leader and youth ambassador from Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation (MCFN), he's passionate about fostering productive dialogue between Indigenous and settler archaeologists and helping to reframe the way we practice and teach archaeology in Canada to centre Indigenous perspectives.
Please join us for Jordan's engaging presentation and musical performance.
WHEN: Oct 9, 3:00 PM
WHERE: Theatre of the Arts, ML
