Indigenous Speakers Series: Join katherena vermette on March 25

This is a reminder to join the Indigenous Speakers Series next Tuesday, March 25, when we are honoured to present katherena vermette, a Michif (Red River Métis) award-winning writer from Treaty 1 territory, the heart of the Métis Nation, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
katherena vermette’s work has garnered awards and critical accolades across genres, including the Governor General’s Literary Award for Poetry, and her fourth novel, real ones, was longlisted for the 2024 Giller Prize. In a conversation facilitated by Dr. Talena Atfield, katherena will share about her upcoming poetry collection and creative practices.
