Film Screening and discussion: “Partition” on Jan. 16

The Department of Anthropology is pleased to invite you to a screening of the film “Partition” by Diana Allan, which will take place at the Balsillie School of International Affairs on Friday, January 16, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The screening will be followed by a roundtable discussion featuring Ilana Feldman, Nazli Akhtari, Jasmin Habib, and Diana Allan. We will conclude the event with a reception.
Awarded the Grand Prize for National Feature Competition at the Montreal International Documentary Festival and Best International Feature at FIDOCS Santiago, among several other accolades, Partition (2025) brings together found footage from the British occupation of Palestine with audio recordings of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
This event is co-sponsored by the Palestinian Studies Fund, Balsillie School of International Affairs; the EU-funded MSCA Archivwar Project; and the Department of Humanities at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
