The Perimeter commissioned Jay Havens to create an art piece to celebrate the institute’s 25th anniversary and to honour the relationship to the land on which the Institute is built. The talk will place the artwork in context, discussing Haudenosaunee history here on the Haldimand Tract, including contemporary Haudenosaunee culture on Six Nations, and will describe the history of the Woodland school of art, as well as discuss the Indigenous Group of Seven.
