Vacancy Announcement: Teacher of Movement
Tenure Track Faculty Position
Assistant/Associate Professor
Start: Fall Semester 1995
Qualifications: Graduate degree or equivalent professional training. Solid
body of experience teaching movement to actors. On-going professional
background. Ability to develop a movement curriculum of quality and depth.
Experience in either Mask, Commedia Dell Arte and Clown work or Stage
Combat is desired but not essential.
Responsibilities: Be part of a team presenting a four-year undergraduate
movement curriculum for carefully selected students working toward a BFA
degree in Drama. Integrate the movement training into a balanced curriculum
now offered in acting and voice and speech. Advise on major productions as
needed. A commitment to an open and active exchange of ideas with other
faculty will be highly valued.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications.
