Studio Z, a nonprofit Chicago organization, is looking for monologues for
its upcoming video production "Charlando!". "Charlando" means "to chat" in
Spanish. The video will feature short monologues by various playwrights and
will resemble a conversation or chat with a number of different and diverse
voices. The monologues may concern any subject matter and may be written in
any style (narrative, interior monolgue, etc.). "Charlando" will be
broadcast on local Chicago Cable T.V. and then later on the Internet.
 
We ask that the monologues be no longer than 3 minutes and that they work
well in the video medium (our shooting style is very simple so please
nothing with elaborate cut aways or wild locations - we have limited editing
time). MONOLOGUES MAY BE IN ENGLISH OR SPANISH. We encourage playwrights
from outside the U.S. to submit their material.
