The University of Alberta, Dept of Drama invites applications for the position
of Lecturer in the Technical Theatre (Stage Management) program.
 
The applicant should be an Equity Stage Manager with considerable professional
experience in a variety of forms of theatre music and dance.  Teaching
experience is necessary.  Applicants should possess good technical,
organizational and business skills.  Preference will be given to candidates who
have progressed through the ranks in the profession.
 
Requirements -
 - a member in good standing of CAEA for a minimum of ten years
 - experience in teaching for the profession (may be in the form of training
apprentices)
 - professional theatre experience
 
The appointment is half-time commencing July 1 1996 for an 11 month contract.
Subsequently it is renewable on a full-time basis for 10 months each year.  The
salary scale is $2782 - 3563 permonth for a full-time contract and $1381-1782
per month for a half-time contract.  All appointments and renewals are subject
to the availablity of funding.
