James point is true enough but the latest one flying around - the
AOL4FREE one or whatever - is, according to reliable sources, not a hoax.
The virus comes as an executable program attached to e-mail. Opening the
e-mail, of course, is harmless. Running the program that is attached to
the e-mail, on the other hand, may cause problems.

As with any virus notification, you should always consult the experts.
