Subject:     Artists/etc. who fled Nazi Germany

Thanks to all who responded to my requests for assistance in identifying
artists who fled Nazi Germany. I though I might received 10 or 15
responses before my deadline for the story of 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

I had received about 40 responses by 6 p.m., many of them extended
biographical, bibliographical and historical essays about who fled when,
why, and where.

Thanks again. It was an excellent illustration of how valuable Internet
communication is for working journalists and for building a wider
community of writers/editors with similar interests.
