The Department of Theatre Costume Studies Programme of Dalhousie
University invites applications for a 9-month limited term
appointment at the rank of Lecturer commencing September 1, 1997
The successful candidate will teach in several of the following
areas: costume history, ritual costume, period and modern
tailoring/pattern-making, show-related costume cutting, and
dancewear/skating costume. Professional theatre costume design
and/or wardrobe management experience considered an asset. The
successful candidate will also be involved in departmental
productions, probably in a design capacity, and will teach in the
third-year wardrobe management/cutting area of specialization.
Qualifications would be completion of an advanced degree in an
appropriate are and/or equivalent professional experience. Teaching
experience at the post-secondary level is a necessity. Deadline for
applications is July14, 1997.
