_Canadian Children's Literature_ 23.1 (Spring 1997) has just published a
special issue on Drama and Theatre for Young People/Le theatre pour la
jeunesse au Canada anglais. The issue includes editorials by Marie C Davis
and Daniel Chouinard, an article by Maria DiCenzo ("Negotiating Audiences:
Confronting Social Issues in Theatre for Young Audiences"); Interviews
with Sara Lee Lewis of Mermaid Theatre (by Hilary Thompson),
Calgary playwright and producer JoAnne James (by Anne Hiebert Alton),
Ottawa teachers David Hersh & Alix Sideris (by Theo Heras); a
profile of Lois Burdett by Lynn Cecil; and other short articles by
Lorraine Behnan and Daniel Chouinard. It also contains book reviews of
Colin Thomas's _Two Weeks, Twice a Year_; Linda A. Carson's _Dying to be
