Over the past year, a series of public forums with a particular focus on the
state of theatre in Vancouver was held at the Playwrights Theatre Centre
Rehearsal Hall on Vancouver's Granville Island. Following these forums,
whose topics ranged from the relationship between traditional dramaturgy and
realism to the problems of performing in non-traditional spaces, performance
cabarets highlighted works in progress by Vancouver playwrights.
