The University of Alberta Archives has openings for the following
temporary positions;


1.      Archives Assistant:
· To develop a strategy for the digitization of textual and
photographic collections, · To recommend priorities for digitization,
and · To undertake a pilot project on records identified as a
priority.


 Term:                          16 weeks
 Wage:                          $13.00/hr plus benefits
 Travel/Accommodation:  Limited assistance available

This project is funded by Young Canada Works.  Interested applicants
must be registered with the National Graduate Register at
http://ngr.schoolnet.ca



2. Theatre Records Archives Assistant:
· To assist in the acquisition of the records of various Edmonton
professional theatres. · To arrange and describe these or other
records. · To assist researchers in the use of these or other records.


 Term:                          16 weeks
 Wage:                          $13.00/hr plus benefits
 Travel/Accommodation:  Limited assistance available

This project is funded by Young Canada Works.  Interested applicants
must be registered with the National Graduate Register at

Qualifications:
Successful completion of an undergraduate degree in an appropriate
discipline; formal archival or records management training; experience
with digitization or theatre history or archives an asset.
