Hello all

Getting over the blues from the refusal by the Canada Council and getting
ready for the official launch January 12.

Meanwhile, still mulling over a section devoted to criticism from across
the country but I need contributors. The reviews would be permanently
archived on the site. If this goes, I am doing it because reviews, besides
criticism, provide information about who is playing/designing/directing
etc. where and when. If there are strong objections to this addition, let
me know. I would contribute my own work (for Hour Magazine) each week and
Alvina Ruprecht, a CBC journalist in Ottawa, has offered her work, but
unless I get a couple of people from the West and Atlantic, this can't
happen.

I have solved part of the problem of my awareness of things outside
Montreal and, again, it comes from a suggestion from Frank Moher. I spend a
little time each week surfing the online newspapers and journals from
across the country. It's quite interesting. (But also, sometimes, a little
depressing as some papers' idea of arts coverage is to merely reprint wire
stories and most of these are US movie/music things.)

Meanwhile, I must remind you all of "Heavenly Voices" the news bulletin I
put up that is slowing considerably since the initial burst of enthusiasm.

I will be slowing considerably myself until January 3 so that I can offer
myself a real holiday before the launch-rush.
